RestOrTrain has introduced an AI coaching app designed for cyclists, triathletes, and runners. The platform connects historical training data with daily workout decisions through a single conversational interface.
The new app aggregates activity and available recovery data from connected platforms, alongside personal context supplied by the athlete. This includes subjective feedback on how a session felt, changes in available training time, or specific race demands.
Athletes can discuss completed sessions, plan toward an event and alter upcoming workouts within the same conversation. For example, an athlete experiencing a disrupted week can ask the app to adjust remaining sessions against recent training load and schedule availability.
The app-to-athlete ‘conversation’ can result in updates to the training calendar and structured workouts delivered directly to a connected training platform or device. Athletes can also use the app to explore performance history while continuing to manage their own training.
RestOrTrain processes training data, maintains athlete context, and turns conversations into workout and calendar changes. Recommendations remain open to discussion within the platform, allowing athletes to retain control over their training.
Supported platform connections include Garmin, Wahoo, Hammerhead, COROS, and Intervals.icu, with Apple Health available on iOS. Data availability and workout delivery vary by platform.
RestOrTrain is available on iOS and Android, offering free access alongside a paid Pro subscription option.
