Rescue tech specialist RECCO and adidas INFINITE TRAILS have partnered to introduce safety technology into the adidas-sponsored trail running festival held in Austria’s Gastein Valley.
The event on September 4–6, 2026 welcomed 1,600 runners from 59 nations. RECCO reflectors were incorporated as required safety gear for the team competition and longer individual distances, including 30km, 45km, and 60km routes.
RECCO search and rescue technology is used by rescue organisations in over 900 locations across 32 countries. The RECCO SAR Helicopter Detector can search a square kilometre in six minutes under optimal conditions.

Following the event, registration for adidas INFINITE TRAILS 2027 opened and reportedly sold out in three hours and 25 minutes.
