Swiss sportswear brand On has announced the arrival of its international Squad Race series in London, UK, with the event scheduled to take place this month on Saturday, July 18, 2026.
The international series celebrates the running crews and communities at the heart of modern running culture. The event aims to connect runners through a unique and fast-paced relay competition. For the London leg of the tour, On is collaborating with groups from across the city’s running community, with a goal of transforming running into a team sport that connects both everyday and dedicated running squads.
The initiative first started in Beijing, China, in April 2026. The series will travel to several major cities around the world, including Barcelona, Rio de Janeiro, Singapore, Sydney, and Tokyo, before concluding with an international final in Los Angeles, CA, in September 2026.
The winning squad from each city-specific event will qualify for the final in Los Angeles, CA. This gives local teams the opportunity to compete directly against an international community of Squad Race champions.
The London race will transform the urban car park of Yellow Park, Tobacco Dock, into a relay race venue. The location has been chosen to showcase and celebrate the diverse squads, crews, and communities currently shaping the running culture within the UK capital.
Set against an industrial backdrop, the event is designed to be an immersive celebration of crew culture for both runners and spectators. Athletes will compete in four-person relay teams on the venue’s spiral course.
Participating crews will be powered by the Cloudmonster 3, which is the latest footwear release at the centre of On’s ‘Real Energy’ campaign that launched earlier this year. Designed for cushioning and energy return, the running shoe will be available for on-site product demonstrations, allowing participants and spectators to test the brand’s latest performance product during the event.
In addition to the racing action, attendees will have access to live race viewing, community hangouts, product customisation stations, music, food, and post-race celebrations.
