Bicycle manufacturer Orbea has announced the creation of Orbea Foundation, a new non-profit organisation established to develop the bike company’s own philanthropy projects.
The new foundation will collaborate with third-party initiatives focused on improving lives, strengthening local communities, and supporting sustainable regional development.
The creation of the foundation represents the next step in a long-standing commitment for the Basque Country-based bike brand. Since converting to a cooperative in 1969, the company has actively partnered with local associations, sports clubs, educational institutions, social organisations, and research centres.
With the launch of the dedicated foundation, Orbea aims to invest additional resources, drive new initiatives, and expand its capacity to generate lasting impact. The new organisation will focus its efforts across five key areas centred around people, communities, and the environments in which they live.
