The JAL Honolulu Marathon, organised by the Honolulu Marathon Association, has announced a new partnership with Precision Fuel & Hydration (PF&H), which becomes the Official Sports Nutrition Partner across all races across the event weekend this December.
Under the sponsorship agreement, PF&H will supply its gels, chews, and electrolyte drinks on course and at the finish line for the race on December 13, 2026, in Honolulu, HI. Participants will have access to products such as PF 30 Gels, PF 30 Chews, and PH 1000 electrolytes to support their race strategies in Hawaii’s warm, humid climate.
Dr Jim Barahal, President & CEO at the Honolulu Marathon Association, said “Fuelling and hydration are no longer an afterthought for endurance athletes – they’re a core part of race preparation, especially in a climate like Hawaii’s. Precision Fuel & Hydration is the leading name in sports nutrition, and we’re proud to bring their expertise to our participants. This partnership will help every runner on our course perform better and have a safer, more enjoyable race-day experience.”
Andy Blow, Founder at Precision Fuel & Hydration, said “Getting your fuelling and hydration right isn’t something you figure out on race morning – it’s something you practice and refine in training, well before you get to the start line. Every athlete sweats differently, and that’s especially true in hot, humid conditions like Honolulu’s.
“Our goal with this partnership is to help every participant, from first-time marathoners to elite competitors, build a fuelling plan that’s personalized to them, so they can run their best and safest race.”
As part of the initiative, PF&H is offering runners educational support ahead of race day, including one-on-one video consultations and access to its Sweat Test and online Fuel & Hydration Planner. Participants can also access a product discount on the company’s website.
The collaboration will also support medical operations on race day. PF&H is working with the event’s medical team to integrate hydration best practices into aid station planning, with select electrolyte products available at medical stations along the course.
JJ Johnson, Race Director at the Honolulu Marathon Association, said “Bringing PF&H’s medical expertise into our aid station planning is a natural extension of this partnership. Our top priority on race day is the health and safety of every participant, and having a partner who specializes in sports nutrition and hydration science strengthens that effort significantly.”
The JAL Honolulu Marathon Weekend attracts more than 50,000 participants annually, and features no qualifying times, entry caps, or course time limit.
