The Saucony Run Shoreditch Half is set to join London’s race calendar on September 20, 2026. The event, a collaboration between running brand Saucony and event organisers Motiv Sports UK, returns for its second year with an upgrade from its original 10K format.
The inaugural 10K event in 2025 saw 9,000 runners take to the streets, raising over £30,000 for charity. Building on this success, the 2026 edition expects to attract 10,000 participants to the new 13.1–mile distance.
The closed-road race will start and finish at Shoreditch Park, with a route winding through the London Boroughs of Hackney and Islington. Motiv Sports UK, which also delivers the Hackney Half, Saucony London 10k, and Oxford Half, highlighted the upgrade as a response to the high demand for half marathons in the capital.
Managing Director at Motiv Sports, Ian Allerton, said “We all know that the demand is there for more half marathons, particularly in London, where we have such strong links with the local running community.
“The Saucony Run Shoreditch Half will be a great addition to the capital’s race calendar, giving runners even more opportunity to enjoy running the 13.1–mile distance, with so many half marathons already sold out for 2026.”
Cameron Black, Vice President & General Manager at Saucony EMEA, added “From day one, Run Shoreditch has been rooted in community, culture and the energy that makes London’s running scene so special. Seeing the event grow into a half marathon is incredibly exciting.”
Full registration for the event opens on February 4, 2026. An early access waitlist is currently available via the event website, with the full route to be confirmed in the coming months.
