Science in Sport appoints Brandnation to lead PR and media relations in the UK

Creative communications agency Brandnation has been appointed by Science in Sport (SiS), the international performance nutrition brand, to lead its UK PR and media relations.

The nutrition company has tasked Brandnation with building its UK PR and media presence as part of a programme centred on the brand’s 2026 platform – “The Year of the Science of Fuelling.”

The brief centres on positioning Science in Sport as a voice in performance nutrition, with the goal of moving beyond product-led communications to category leadership. Brandnation’s remit spans strategic storytelling, corporate communications, media relations, science narrative and press office.

The appointment leverages Science in Sport’s science and athlete infrastructure, which includes Chief Science Officer Professor James Morton, an internationally recognised performance nutritionist, alongside an advisory panel featuring Laura Kenny, Chris Hoy, Eilish McColgan and Sam Warburton.

Brandnation will work to translate the brand’s scientific rigour into narratives for both specialist and mainstream media. The account will be led by Brandnation partner Joe Murgatroyd.

Every Science in Sport product is manufactured in the UK and triple batch screened for banned substances. The brand holds a large Informed Sport certified range, spanning hydration, energy, recovery and everyday nutrition. It is focusing on the UK market while expanding across the US, Europe and Japan.

The win builds on Brandnation’s momentum across the 2025 and 2026 seasons. Science in Sport joins a client roster at Brandnation that includes E1 Series, Merrell and Columbia Sportswear.
