ROUVY has announced its upcoming virtual Triathlon Training Camp. Designed for triathletes of all levels, this indoor cycling training programme provides an opportunity to prepare for the outdoor season by getting fit, connecting with other athletes, and picking up advice from professional triathlete Frederic Funk.
For triathletes in the northern hemisphere, March is often the month of training camps – and with its triathlon training camp, ROUVY is providing a convenient way for triathletes around the world to improve their performance levels and get ready for the outdoor season.
The campaign runs from March 1-19. There will be workouts, challenges, prizes to be won, a group ride led by Frederic Funk through the virtual setting of Challenge Wales. It ends in a climactic race on a virtual Challenge Geraardsbergen route on March 19.
Registration is free of charge and ROUVY provides a 14-day free trial for newcomers. The campaign is a follow-up to ROUVY’s Triathlon Fall Fest, which took place last September and was billed as the first ever virtual indoor cycling event specifically designed for triathletes.
Triathletes make up an important proportion of ROUVY’s online community of over 1 million registered athletes on the platform. German triathlete Frederic Funk is the official face of the campaign. The multiple national champion, and winner of several IRONMAN 70.3 and Challenge Family races, recently entered the top 10 of the PTO world rankings.
Frederic Funk said “When I’m training and the weather is bad or it’s dark outside, I always use my indoor trainer and the ROUVY app. Triathlon Training Camp is a great way to get in shape for the upcoming season. The timing is perfect and I’m very excited to be part of it.”
ROUVY is partnering with Challenge Family, for the training camp. Challenge Family CEO, Jort Vlam, said “Challenge Family is delighted to be working with ROUVY on the Triathlon Training Camp as part of our ongoing collaboration.
“It’s a great way to support athletes in preparation for the upcoming season and will also be a lot of fun, riding some iconic courses with friends and pros alike. Plus, it fits perfectly with Challenge Family’s commitment to ‘all about the athlete’.”
