Apple Pay payments integrated into njuko II event registration platform

Endurance event registration firm njuko has integrated Apple Pay onto its platform, to support a growing audience on mobile devices and a demand for more frictionless event entry.

Apple Pay adds to the growing list of payment gateways integrated worldwide on njuko’s new ‘njuko II’ platform. Other platforms include: Stripe, WorldPay, Clearpay, Payzen, Swish, Twint, Saferpay, Ogone, RedSys, Mpay, OMT, Mollie and more.

njuko handles over 4 million registrations a year globally, across 34 currencies, 23 payment gateways and 27+ languages. Following its acquisition by ASICS Apps in 2022, njuko has recently integrated with ASICS Apps to further broaden its growth and platform development.

Matt Trevett from njuko UK said “We know that Apple Pay’s user base increased from 521.4 million to 535.8 million in 2022, and since then this has only gone up in 2023. Moreover, the UK is a place for mobile payment methods where over 25% of payment transactions are from contactless payments.

“The usage of Apple Pay by Gen Z is approaching the 75% mark across ecommerce purchases, so we are pleased to be able service this demographic better and there will be many more Gen Z benefits to come soon on njuko.”

In its first week of release, Apple Pay on njuko is already being used by event organisers such as Antrim Coast Half Marathon, krono:sports, and Wee Run Events.
