Tudor Pro Cycling has a new partnership with Hytro, naming it the team’s official BFR supplier. Hytro is known for producing wearable blood flow restriction (BFR) accessories.
Tudor Pro Cycling is a Swiss professional cycling team based in Sursee, Switzerland, launched in 2022 by double Olympic Champion Fabian Cancellara.
As part of the collaboration, Tudor Pro Cycling athletes recently used Hytro’s patented BFR wearables in their recovery protocols during a two-week training camp this summer.
This research project explored how wearable BFR could support recovery and enhance performance.
The study was conducted in collaboration with Tudor’s coaching and performance staff, including James Spragg, Coach at Tudor Pro Cycling. It investigated whether adding Hytro to existing recovery strategies delivered measurable improvements in recovery speed, performance output, and subjective markers such as readiness, across a week-long block of high-intensity training.
Hytro’s BFR technology is already used by over 300 elite teams worldwide, in sports such as football, rugby, NFL, NBA, Formula 1, athletics, and cycling. The company notes that its wearables are also being tested by NASA and SpaceX as part of research into maintaining muscle and bone health in zero gravity.
