RaceNation and Runna expand partnership with integrated training plans

Event registration platform RaceNation has expanded on its partnership with coaching app Runna. The integration allows participants to register for events and secure personalised training plans in a single digital step.

Participants who enter events via the RaceNation platform can already manage aspects such as fundraising and local accommodation through a mobile-first interface. The new development integrating Runna allows entrants to add a bespoke training plan that scales automatically based on the number of weeks remaining until the event.

Runna, which was acquired by Strava in April 2025, provides coaching through its mobile app. Its plans are tailored to specific race distances, target times, and weekly availability, and can be synced with wearables and digital calendars.

For event organisers, the integration is designed to automate training support for entrants while creating an additional revenue stream.

Will Golder, CEO at RaceNation, said “Continuing our mission to create more value for both organisers and participants, this integration is the next step in evolving event registration into a seamless, all-in-one experience that supports every stage of preparation.”

Ben Parker, Co-founder and Head Coach at Runna, said “Together, we can make training for a running event more seamless and accessible, empowering runners with all the tools they need to step up to their next running challenge.”

Founded in 2014, RaceNation is a technology provider supporting endurance events and non-profits. The company processes hundreds of thousands of entries annually across the UK and beyond. Runna, founded in 2021, is available in over 180 countries and supports runners from 5km to ultramarathon distances.
