Focal Events, the organiser behind the Panaracer Dirty Reiver, Dalby Grit, and Gravel Rocks, has announced a new one-day road event for the SCOTT Frontier 300. Covering 300km with 3,750m of elevation, the route takes riders from the west coast of Scotland to the east coast of England.
Taking place on May 29–30, 2026, the SCOTT Frontier 300 originally added a road route as a two-day bikepacking option late last year. Following feedback from participants seeking a more difficult endurance test, Focal Events brought forward its plans for an ‘all-in-one’ option, which was previously scheduled to launch in 2027.
The one-day road edition will depart from Rockcliffe Bay, Scotland, in the early hours of Saturday morning. Riders will head east through the borders, passing forests, castles, and a Buddhist temple, eventually finishing 300km later at Druridge Bay, England.
Neil Atkinson, co-Event Director at Focal Events said “Sometimes the community speaks when you have to act fast! The initial introduction of a road version of Frontier 300 to support the already popular and growing all-road version was from rider feedback, but it turns out more people want to really push their limits over one day than we’d originally expected, so we’ve delivered – 300km over one day coast-to-coast.”
Entries for the inaugural road event are open with limited spaces available. The entry fee is £145 and includes fully stocked feed stations, overnight camping, evening meals, breakfast, and GPX route files.
The SCOTT Frontier 300 is the second event in the 2026 calendar for Focal Events. It follows the 10th edition of the Dirty Reiver in April, while the Dalby Grit gravel race and the Gravel Rocks weekend are scheduled for June and July respectively.
