RacePace ties-up with ITRA on trail and ultra-running race-day platform

ITRA x RacePace

Trail and ultra-running race-strategy platform RacePace has announced a partnership with the International Trail Running Association (ITRA) to integrate ITRA performance data directly into its race-planning offering.

Until now, RacePace users entered their ITRA score manually. Through the new integration, the platform automatically pulls each runner’s ITRA score along with their complete race history – including previous mountain races – and feeds it directly into a personalised race strategy dashboard.

The integration updates RacePace’s prediction engine. Rather than relying on a single performance metric, the platform reads a runner’s mountain experience across past years: the distances raced, the terrain covered, and the years of accumulated racing behind the runner’s ITRA score.

This means that athletes returning from an extended break from training or competition receive race plans that reflect their historical racing experience rather than just a current fitness snapshot.

Ido Dassa, Chief Executive Officer and Founder at RacePace, said “Your ITRA score is one number. Your years in racing are everything behind it.

“This partnership lets our prediction engine see the runner you actually are. Every mountain race you’ve ever finished now counts toward your next race plan – automatically.

“ITRA doesn’t just rank trail runners – they’re opening the sport up to more people. That’s the same mission we chase every day: the kind of strategy that used to be reserved for elite athletes, now in every runner’s pocket, from the front of the pack to the very back.”

RacePace provides segment-by-segment race strategies for trail and ultra runners by combining individual fitness data, course demands and environmental conditions.

Its platform generates pacing, effort targets, heart-rate parameters, and dynamic nutrition and hydration guidance. Plans can be exported directly to GPS devices, printable summaries or GPX files.

The International Trail Running Association (ITRA) is a non-profit organisation that works to promote and develop trail running globally. The association maintains an international race database and performance index used by athletes and event organisers.
