Trail running brand Kailas FUGA has landed in the mountains with the debut of its first European retail store in Chamonix, France, alongside the launch of its FUGA EX PRO G shoe.
To mark the opening, the Kailas FUGA Team and FUGA Mountain Club have brought their largest-ever representation to the UTMB World Series Finals, taking place this week, with over 80 athletes competing across the UTMB, TDS, CCC, OCC, and ETC races.
With a commitment to supporting the development of the European trail industry and a strategic focus on the Alps, Kailas FUGA will host a week of activities. These include shoe trials for the FUGA EX PRO G, coaching sessions, talks by the Kailas FUGA Team, and insights into how the business supports the growth of trail running. Located in the heart of the Alps, the store aims to act as a community hub for trail runners.

Building on the FUGA EX PRO, which was launched in 2025, the new FUGA EX PRO G is lighter and engineered for elite trail runners. It features a carbon plate racing structure with cushioning, alongside an integrated sock-like structure designed to prevent gravel and debris from entering the shoe. Weighing 269g with a 5mm drop and a lug depth of 4–6mm, the shoe is designed for use on mixed terrain over distances between 30km–100km.
The retail store in Chamonix introduces key product technologies such as Grip Lab, while providing a community hub for visiting trail runners. Kailas FUGA supports 60 professional trail athletes from over 19 countries, with nearly half based in Europe.
Additionally, the FUGA Mountain Club – a sponsored trail running club launched in China in 2017 – now has over 115 athletes in Europe.
Building on 20 years of expertise in mountain sports, parent company Kailas launched the FUGA trail running product line in 2016. The business operates across 35 territories internationally and works in partnership with professional runners, coaches, and event organisers such as TORX.
