Wearable resistance brand OMORPHO has launched the G-Vest Icon HYROX special edition weighted vest. Designed in partnership with fitness racing series HYROX, it is the only weighted vest to feature official branding and the event series’ signature colourway.
According to OMORPHO, the vest is engineered to meet the demands of hybrid sports and functional fitness racing by adding wearable resistance without limiting natural motion. By doing so, it aims to help competitors build running endurance and functional strength for HYROX’s eight workout stations.
Incorporating OMORPHO’s MicroLoad design, the vest distributes small weights across the torso to ensure it stays secure, comfortable, and chafe-free during high-intensity dynamic movements. The G-Vest is available in configurations starting at 6lbs for women and 10lbs for men, and can be adjusted up to 12lbs for women and 20lbs for men by adding G-Pack weight inserts.

To support the launch, OMORPHO partnered with HYROX experts to deliver performance testing and develop specialized training programs.
Dr Adam Storey, member of the HYROX Sports Science Advisory Council, developed beginner, intermediate, and pro-level training programs featuring the vest. Beginner plans will be available on the OMORPHO website, with intermediate and pro plans available exclusively to customers in autumn/fall 2026.
Performance simulation testing was led by Jake Shaw at the HYROX Performance Center in Long Beach, CA, testing the vest under race-simulation conditions.
The G-Vest HYROX features a low-profile design, front-zip closure, adjustable sizing cords, and elastic side cords. It is available directly from the company priced at £279 for women’s models and £299 for men’s models.
