An official race recap movie has been released for the Race Across France Destination Mandelieu 2026, capturing the intense conditions and human stories from this year’s edition.
Organised by Race Across Series, the ultra-cycling event took place in Mandelieu-la-Napoléon, France. The 2026 edition was defined by an exceptional heatwave that profoundly shaped the experience for all participants.
To ensure rider safety during the extreme weather conditions, the event organisers had to neutralise the race and introduce mandatory cooling breaks along the route. The unprecedented situation required cyclists to adapt, slow down, and draw on collective support to complete the distance.
The new ‘After movie’ highlights the grand starts, the kilometres ridden under the scorching heat, and the solidarity among riders through moments of doubt and achievement, focusing on the human adventure rather than purely on finish times.
Mandelieu has established itself as a key destination for ultra-cycling and bike tourism in South Eastern France, offering access to iconic routes across the region.
Following the conclusion of the French event, the organiser is turning its attention to the final fixture of the 2026 season, Race Across Spain. Registration for the full Race Across Series 2027 calendar is scheduled to open in October 2026.
