Zwift has announced a series of platform updates and hardware revisions for the upcoming 2026-27 season, aiming to simplify training and expand content across its global community.
Zwift Ride V2 hardware update
Zwift has launched the Zwift Ride V2 smart bike, maintaining its price at US$1,299.99, €1,199.99 and £1,099.99. The revised frame features a more compact design to accommodate riders between 146cm and 198cm.
The updated smart bike includes adjustable cranks as standard, offering options of 160mm, 165mm, 170mm, 172.5mm and 175mm. A revised seatpost provides greater fore-and-aft adjustability for a more forward saddle position. Existing Zwift Ride owners can purchase the adjustable cranks and updated seatpost as standalone accessories from zwift.com.
Companion and game interface updates
Beginning September 22, 2026, the Zwift game home screen will undergo a rollout update incorporating elevated scheduled content, day tags for planned workouts and a new Progress Widget for tracking weekly goals and career statistics.
In October 2026, the Zwift Companion mobile application will receive a home screen refresh. This update aims to simplify navigation and divides the weekly activity graph into two distinct screens to improve fitness tracking.
WHOOP wearable integration
Zwift has introduced a direct integration with WHOOP wearables. The feature adjusts a rider’s Personal Recommendations based on their WHOOP Recovery Score to prevent overreaching. Later in the autumn/falls, Zwift rides and runs will also display directly within the WHOOP application.
Watopia expansion and events
On October 26, 2026, Zwift will expand its Watopia world, adding approximately 18km of new roads connecting Jarvis to the Jungle. The region draws visual inspiration from the West Coast of California and Catalina Island, incorporating a flat bypass around the Epic KOM alongside two crit-style circuits.
The roads will launch during Stage 4 of the Tour of Watopia, which runs from October 5–November 22, 2026.
Further scheduled events and feature updates include:
- Watt Lock (October 2026): An ERG mode toggle accessible via the Zwift Action Bar during freerides, allowing cyclists to lock into target power output. Adjustments can be made on the fly using Zwift Game controllers.
- Power Play (November 23–December 27, 2026): A new campaign introducing Power Segments across New York, Montmartre, The Grade and the new Watopia extension.
- Drop Shop updates: Season-long additions to the in-game store, including Kona-themed triathlon bikes and wheels in October 2026, followed by equipment from Factor Bikes, Black Inc wheels and the Zwift x Pinarello paint scheme.
- Halo Bikes (Late 2026): Expansion of the high-tier equipment category with upcoming flagship frames from Cervélo and Canyon.
Zwift Racing Series
The platform’s competition schedule includes the launch of ‘Zwift Racing’, an always-on racing format spanning Time Trial, Crit and Epic events, beginning in September 2026 with a series powered by Dura-Ace.
The team-based Zwift Racing League also returns in September 2026, introducing ‘Road to Zwift Racing League’ introductory rides for new participants and a draftless, mass-start ‘Race of Truth’ points format.
