Bridging the gap between Olympic and long distance racing, the organising team behind the Subaru Triathlon Series has announced that the Olympic distance Muskoka 5150 event in Canada is a qualifier for Ironman Canada. The organisers note that there are 24 spots up for grabs.
World Endurance Canada (WEC) – the company behind the Subaru Triathlon Series has also announced that the Peterborough (Half Iron Distance) event is also a qualifier for Ironman Arizona. Again, 24 spots are waiting to be earned.
Both Ironman Canada and Ironman Arizona are sold out events so qualifying via the above races presents a last chance opportunity for athletes to enter these 2013 events. (General registration for Ironman Arizona 2013 opened in November 2012 at noon MST and filled in just 40 seconds!)
