Repente has expanded its range with the new Quasar 2.0 Aeron saddle, the latest model to join the carbon rail and steel rail versions of this product line.
The rail of the latest addition to the Quasar family is made of chrome-molybdenum. According to the Italian saddle specialist, this is a type of steel that meets resistance requirements and allows the price of the saddle (total weight 185g) to be kept down to €99.
A characteristic feature of the saddle structure is a shell built with long carbon fibre-reinforced ‘noble’ polymer PA12.
What differentiates this model from earlier ones is above all the material used for the rail, which allows Quasar to be sold at more affordable prices.
From an aesthetic point of view, Quasar 2.0 Aeron features original graphics created as a glossy on matt pattern. The saddle cover is in non-slip water-based microfibre.
The saddles of the Quasar line, with dimensions of 260 x 142mm, are characterised by the flat shape of the ischial support area. In competitive racing, while mostly used by road cyclists, they are may also be chosen by MTB specialists.
