Bridging a gap between lifestyle and performance usage, and appearing to go head-to-head in competition with the Apple Watch Ultra range, Garmin has launched the new Venu X1 smartwatch, which is positioned as its thinnest to date.
The newest offering boasts an ultrathin design, with a large 2-inch AMOLED display, titanium back-case and built-in speaker, microphone and LED flashlight.
Garmin stated that the new device combines form, function and style. Venu X1 is built around an 8mm rectangular case and scratch-resistant sapphire lens, and offers up to 8 days of battery life in smartwatch mode.
Venu X1 is available in black and moss colourways, with a 24mm quick-release nylon ComfortFit band. The suggested retail price is US$799 / £679.99, with availability starting this month.
“Venu X1 is the perfect blend of form, function and style.” said Susan Lyman, Garmin Vice President of Consumer Sales and Marketing.
“Not only does it pack all of Garmin’s most popular features into a slim profile, but the large display makes it easy to see everything from preloaded maps and workout stats to health insights and smart notifications with stunning clarity,”
Key features include:
- 2-inch AMOLED display for easier visibility of maps, data and notifications
- Titanium caseback and sapphire lens for durability and all-day wear
- Built-in speaker and mic for calls and voice assistant use when connected to a smartphone
- LED flashlight for increased visibility in dark environments
- Customisable watch faces and adjustable font sizes
- Voice command support for selected tasks, even without a phone connection
Venu X1 also supports Garmin’s suite of health, fitness, and outdoor tracking features, accessible via the Garmin app.
