Como in northern Italy will remain at the heart of Il Lombardia presented by Crédit Agricole. The pro cycling Monument will stay in the Como, Lombardy, region after race organiser RCS Sport, the Municipality of Como, and the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce signed a three-year agreement covering the 2027, 2028, and 2029 editions.
The announcement was made during a press conference in the Council Chamber at Palazzo Cernezzi in Como, Italy, ahead of the 120th edition of the ‘Classic of the Falling Leaves’. The agreement ensures that Como will continue as a host location for the final Monument Classic of the international road cycling season through 2029.
The event presentation was attended by Alessandro Rapinese, Mayor of Como; Ezio Vergani, President of the Como-Lecco Chamber of Commerce; and Luca Guercilena, Chief Operating Officer at RCS Sports & Events.
The 120th edition of Il Lombardia presented by Crédit Agricole took place on Saturday, October 10, 2026 and was won by French rider Paul Seixas of Decathlon CMA CGM.
