ROUVY introduces Club Challenges in latest version update

Club Challenge on ROUVY

Indoor cycling platform ROUVY has released version 4.8 of its software, introducing ‘Club Challenges’ – a team-based competitive format requiring multi-rider collaboration across 50 routes.

Under the new format, an individual club member is restricted to completing a maximum of four of the 50 designated routes. As a result, a minimum of 13 active riders per club is required to finish the full challenge set. Route selection spans a range of distances and profiles, from short flats to high-gradient virtual climbs.

Overall club rankings are calculated using the aggregate times of all completed routes, with stage-based phases for preparation, riding, and evaluation. Riders earn bonus experience points (XP) for individual routes, while completing all 50 routes yields bonus in-app coins and Club Points toward overall club levels.

The inaugural Club Challenge is scheduled to launch on November 4, 2026.

The update builds upon the platform’s social infrastructure following the rollout of Clubs, Communities, and In-Ride Chat earlier in the year. ROUVY reports that over 1,600 Clubs and 230 Communities have been formed on the platform to date, with significant usage driven by age-group and elite IRONMAN triathletes.

Marek-Martin Matyska, Vice President of Product at ROUVY, said “With Club Challenges we wanted to bring a unique concept to Indoor riding where riders have to collaborate to conquer the challenge together in the fastest possible time – something that’s not on any other platform in the market.”

In addition to the team challenge format, version 4.8 of ROUVY introduces enhanced search filters allowing users to discover clubs by nation, riding discipline, and average power-to-weight ratio.

The latest platform update also adds a post-ride Progress Report summarizing personal records and achievements, expanded virtual shifting modes compatible with Zwift hardware (offering SRAM, Shimano, and sequential shifting styles across four terrain presets), and an in-app mini-calendar displaying a 10-day schedule of planned sessions and events.

ROUVY 4.8 was officially released to subscribers today (November 2, 2026).
