RunSignup launches next-gen website builder for new races

RunSignup - website v2

RunSignup has announced a website update for endurance events on its platform. Website V2, the next-generation race website first introduced as an option in 2024, is now the default website experience for all new races created in the RunSignup Race Wizard.

Event registration platform RunSignup notes that this update means every race director creating a new race on the platform will be set up with the updated website system from day one.

Since its introduction, Website V2 has been adopted across the RunSignup platform due to its ease of use and design options. In addition to a drag-and-drop website builder for management, Website V2 offers custom branding and a range of data-driven components. New races can now access Website V2 instantly without needing to enable the feature.

Bob Bickel, Founder and CEO of RunSignup, said “This is a significant step in our effort to make professional race websites accessible to all races. Your race website is how people find your event, how you inspire people to sign up, and how you communicate with your community. We know how important they are – that’s why we want every race to have access to an SEO-optimized, mobile-responsive race website that’s truly all theirs.”

Website V2 includes a range of upgraded capabilities for race websites. These include:

  • A free, AI-powered chatbot to manage customer questions
  • A centralized image gallery to power images across the site
  • Data-driven components, such as leaderboards, participant counts, and countdowns
  • Flexible page layouts with multiple column options, customizable colour schemes, and a variety of image displays

This announcement is the first in a series of planned website improvements for 2026, according to the company. In the coming months, RunSignup plans to release website templates, banner options for slideshows and video, additional layout options for event lists, and purpose-built components for virtual and hybrid races. As with all RunSignup features, Website V2 is available to race directors at no cost.
