The Professional Triathletes Organisation (PTO) and its event partner, Sport Singapore, are targeting an expansion for the Singapore T100 Triathlon, which is part of the T100 Triathlon World Tour 2026.
Scheduled for April 25–26, 2026, the fourth edition of the event will feature new race distances and categories for amateur participants.
New additions to the 2026 schedule include Olympic distance (1.5km swim, 40km bike, 10km run) and Sprint distance (750m swim, 20km bike, 5km run) triathlons. These will sit alongside a new Youth Aquathlon for 14–18 year olds and the return of the 5km Music Run.
The swim for the new triathlon events will take place in Marina Bay, with bike courses traversing the financial district and the Sheares Bridge. These new options join the existing 100km distance triathlon and various duathlon formats already on offer.
Sam Renouf, CEO of the Professional Triathletes Organisation, said “Our first event in Singapore in 2023 was in many ways the prototype which helped us develop the original T100 Triathlon World Tour that is now in 10 cities around the world. In Singapore, the T100 weekend goes from strength to strength and 2026 is set to be our biggest and best yet.”
According to the PTO, amateur participation in Singapore grew by 40% in 2025 compared to the previous year. The 2025 event, which saw New Zealand’s Hayden Wilde take the professional men’s title, hosted a diverse mix of participants.
Data from Sport Singapore’s National Sport & Exercise Participation Survey indicates that swimming, cycling, and running consistently rank among the top 10 most participated sports in the country. Collectively, these three disciplines attracted more than one million Singapore residents in both 2023 and 2024.

The Singapore T100 Triathlon weekend has established itself as a key sporting event where world-class competition meets grassroots participation.”
The Singapore leg is part of the T100 Triathlon World Tour, which is designated by World Triathlon as the official world championship for long distance triathlon. The 2026 season includes stops in locations such as the Gold Coast, San Francisco, Vancouver, and the French Riviera, before concluding with the Qatar T100 Triathlon World Championship Final in December 2026.
