British wetsuit and endurance sport brand ZONE3 has established a new National Triathlon Day to celebrate the sport, and to build awareness and participation across the wider community.
An inaugural National Triathlon Day event, which is being organised by ZONE3, aims to reduce barriers to entry by providing access to equipment and coaching. The event activation takes place today (May 7, 2026) at Divers Cove in Surrey, UK. The session runs from 16:00–20:00 BST.
ZONE3 notes that open water swimming can often feel inaccessible due to limited opportunities to experience the environment or trial technical gear such as wetsuits. As part of the day, it will host a wetsuit demo featuring its full range of products. Attendees will have the opportunity to swim in a ZONE3 wetsuit at the Divers Cove lake free of charge, with fitting guidance provided by the team to ensure comfort and performance.
Practical coaching tips tailored to open water swimming will also be offered, helping individuals develop the skills needed to progress safely in the water.
Professional athlete Kieran Lindars, who is the British record holder for IRONMAN, will be in attendance for a Q&A session. The event also features bike trainer competitions, partner stalls showcasing race nutrition, and presence from media titles 220 Triathlon and Outdoor Swimmer Magazine.
Mike Martin, CCO at Zone3, said “We recognise that open water swimming can feel inaccessible for many, often due to limited opportunities to experience the environment or trial appropriate equipment such as wetsuits. With fewer locations offering the chance to try and swim in wetsuits, we are addressing this gap by bringing our products directly to participants.”
According to the company, the event will aim to play a role in broadening reach, building confidence among new participants, and strengthening engagement within the local triathlon community.
ZONE3 is a specialist in performance triathlon gear, known for its range of wetsuits, trisuits, and swimming accessories. It is based in Send, Surrey.
