RCS Sport has confirmed the team line-up for its upcoming spring UCI Women’s WorldTour races. The announcement covers the selections for Strade Bianche Women Elite and the Sanremo Women, both of which are sponsored by Crédit Agricole.
Strade Bianche Women Elite, scheduled for March 7, 2026, will feature a field of 21 teams, each consisting of six riders. The peloton will include 13 UCI WorldTeams and one UCI ProTeam qualified by ranking, VolkerWessels Cycling Team.
The event organiser has issued seven wild card invitations for the Tuscan race, split between two UCI ProTeams and five UCI Continental Teams. The invited squads include Ma Petite Enterprise, St Michel – Preference Home – Auber 93, and several Italian teams such as Aromitalia Vaiano and Top Girls Fassa Bortolo.
For the Sanremo Women on March 21, 2026, the field expands to 24 teams. This includes 14 UCI WorldTeams and two teams qualified by ranking: Laboral Kutxa – Fundacion Euskadi and VolkerWessels Cycling Team.
The wild card selection for the Sanremo event features eight teams. Alongside the Continental squads also appearing at Strade Bianche, the roster includes UCI ProTeams Cofidis Women Team and Mayenne Monbana My Pie.
RCS Sport, based in Milan, is the organiser of several of cycling’s most prominent events, including the Giro d’Italia and Giro d’Italia Women. The company noted that team selections for its other scheduled events will be released at a later date.
The 2026 spring season marks a significant period for the UCI Women’s WorldTour, with these two races serving as key fixtures in the early season calendar. Both events will conclude in iconic Italian settings – the Piazza del Campo in Siena for Strade Bianche and the traditional finish in San Remo for the women’s edition of the ‘Classicissima’.
