New Scicon Sports Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium eyewear, as worn by Tadej Pogačar at Strade Bianche

Scicon Sports has introduced the Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium, an evolution of its cycling eyewear designs. According to the company, the new product offering aims to set a benchmark in high–performance sports eyewear through the use of advanced materials and proprietary technical solutions.

The launch coincided with the 2026 Strade Bianche, where Tadej Pogačar secured his fourth victory on the gravel roads of Tuscany. Tadej Pogačar and the UAE Team Emirates squad competed in the race wearing the new eyewear model, which was officially presented by the company during the race weekend.

Scicon Sports entered the sports eyewear market in 2019 and currently supplies four World Tour teams. The original Aeroshade model gained international recognition after being worn during multiple Tour de France victories. After five years, the Innovation & Design Center at Scicon Sports has re–engineered the product to focus on improved materials and functionality.

A primary update to the eyewear is the introduction of titanium temples. Crafted from a solid titanium rod through more than 20 manufacturing steps, according to the company, titanium offers controlled flexibility and remains stable under extreme temperatures, ensuring long–term durability.

The front frame has been redesigned with a streamlined geometry and micro–ventilation ports. These ports are engineered to increase airflow and reduce fogging during high–intensity efforts. The updated design also includes the Flexifit 2.0 nose pad and the Horizon Adapt height–adjustment system, allowing riders to customise the positioning of the eyewear for better field of vision and stability.

The Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium utilises Hi–Contrast cylindrical lenses, available in both mirrored and photochromic options. These lenses are finished with precision laser cutting to reduce fingerprint accumulation and limit surfaces prone to scratches.

The lenses incorporate Nanotech hydrophobic and oleophobic coatings to shed water and oil quickly. Scicon Sports indicates that the technology improves terrain definition and amplifies contrast while maintaining a neutral colour profile to reduce eye fatigue.

For cyclists requiring vision correction, the model is compatible with an internal optical clip that integrates with the nose pad. The eyewear weighs 40g and includes features such as the Panorama Arch frame design and Tactigrip temple tips.

Founded in 1980 near Bassano del Grappa, Italy, Scicon Sports originally focused on bicycle protection and travel cases. Since expanding into eyewear, the brand has been used in more than 500 World Tour race wins. It now operates in more than 40 countries, including Australia, Canada, South Africa, and the United States.

The Aeroshade 2.0 Titanium is available from March 15, 2026. The package includes a protective hard case that converts into a saddle bag, a microfiber pouch, and a spare lens where applicable. Prices for the new model start from €220.
