Swiss running brand On has announced the signing of 24-year-old British middle-distance runner Henry McLuckie to On Athletics Club (OAC) Europe.
Based between St. Moritz, Switzerland, in the summer and South Africa in the winter, McLuckie joins the elite training squad as he targets international competition.
Hailing from the Isle of Wight, McLuckie won the English Schools’ Cross Country Championship at age 17 before earning a bronze medal in the 1500m at the 2021 European Athletics U20 Championships. He has since been named to the British Athletics Olympic Futures Programme.
On the track, McLuckie finished third in the 3000m at the 2025 British Indoor Athletics Championships, before taking second place in 2026. He also served as a pacemaker in Boston to help Grant Fisher set a 5000m indoor world record.
Henry McLuckie said “Seeing how On and the OAC have developed over the past few years, and the time and resources they put into their athletes has been something I wanted to be a part of for a while now. Coach Thomas (Dreissigacker) will tell you I have emailed him on numerous occasions asking for a shot at being on the team, and for that to finally happen is a dream come true. I can’t wait for what’s to come.”

What I loved about them was the same thing I see when Henry races: he is hungry, proactive, and fearless. He has already shown he can break historic records and run with the absolute best in the world. We are thrilled to have him on the team and help him unlock his potential on the world’s tracks.”
McLuckie joins a roster of 14 athletes led by Head Coach Thomas Dreißigacker and Assistant Coach Vincent Guyot. He will train alongside fellow British athletes and Olympians George Mills and Revee Walcott-Nolan.
