MyWhoosh has released update 6.2.0, kicking off a series of winter releases for the virtual cycling platform. The latest version introduces a Smart Workout Selector, a redesigned companion app, Event Video Highlights, and Pulse News, alongside performance improvements to power response and smart trainer compatibility.
The new Smart Workout Selector helps riders narrow down the MyWhoosh workout library based on their daily status. Riders answer questions covering recovery, sleep, muscle soreness, available time, training focus, experience, and desired effort. The tool returns three recommended workouts using recent MyWhoosh training history data, providing context for each selection.
Matt Smithson, Director of Esports & Game Operations at MyWhoosh, said “A lot of riders know they have 30, 60 or 90 minutes to train, but deciding what to do with that time can be tricky. Smart Workout Selector is designed to make that decision simpler. Riders still make the final choice, but MyWhoosh can now help narrow the library down to a few sessions that make sense for that day.”
The update also debuts the MyWhoosh Link App v3. The redesigned companion app features updated navigation, allowing riders to browse workouts, schedule sessions into their training calendar, track activity feeds, manage teams, and use their phone as a companion screen. New Live Ride Presets allow users to customize and save metric layouts. For Apple TV users, the app can bridge additional Bluetooth devices through a mobile phone.
The 6.2.0 release adds Event Video Highlights, which automatically creates a 30-second video of key race moments – such as the start, standout sections, and finish – following an eligible MyWhoosh cycling event. Highlights can be previewed, downloaded, and shared from the user’s web profile. The feature currently supports virtual cycling events, with running and rowing support planned for future updates.
Another addition is Pulse News, a feature displaying updates during Free Ride and MyBunch 24×7 sessions. The feed provides unobtrusive notifications when contacts start riding, events approach, or milestones are reached. Riders can expand or hide the feed as preferred.
In addition, the update delivers faster on-screen power responsiveness during acceleration or deceleration and expands compatibility with older smart trainer models.
Matt Smithson, Director of Esports & Game Operations at MyWhoosh said “This update brings together a number of changes across the MyWhoosh experience. Some help you get into the right ride or training session, some improve what happens while you’re on the bike, and others give you something to take away afterwards.
“It also marks the start of a really busy winter for MyWhoosh, with plenty more updates to come, including the new Train with Tadej series and the UCI Cycling Esports World Championships in December. We’re excited about what’s ahead, and we’ll keep building on the platform to make everyday riding and training more useful, engaging and easier to navigate.”
MyWhoosh is also launching a Train with Tadej workout series following Tadej Pogačar’s return to structured training on the platform. On September 18, 2026, MyWhoosh began releasing weekly workouts developed alongside UAE Team Emirates-XRG coach Javier Sola. The sessions adapt training principles from Pogačar’s preparation for the end of the 2026 season and the start of the 2027 season.
Pogačar will also participate in a live ‘Ride with Tadej’ community event, where one participant will win a package including a Colnago bike, Elite indoor trainer, Pissei kit, Met helmet, DMT shoes, and Scicon glasses.
