Elastic Interface, the Italian cycling pad brand owned by CyTech, has launched Tailwind TT, its latest product offering for apparel brands. Originally unveiled at the Performance Days trade fair in Munich, Germany, the new cycling pad is engineered and produced in Italy, and is designed specifically for the time trial discipline.
Developed around the forward pelvic rotation and load distribution associated with aerodynamic time trial positions, Tailwind TT shifts padding concentration to the front area of the saddle. The design adapts to modern split-nose and wide-nose time trial saddle profiles, using a thinner, lighter structure to reduce material overlap, friction, and heat build-up.

The construction uses Eco MAX, a recycled polyamide microfibre fabric, combined with a dual-density reticulated polyurethane foam structure featuring high-support RET D90 foam. The pad also incorporates the company’s Refined Edge technology to create smooth perimeter transitions and reduce edge volume.
Geometry, foam density, and thickness profiles were developed by Elastic Interface alongside biomechanics experts, material suppliers, and athlete field testers. Founded in 2001 in San Vendemiano, Italy, CyTech operates as a company supplying technical cycling pads to more than 300 apparel brands globally.
