HYROX has announced an expanded partnership with NYU Langone Health, naming the organisation as its first-ever hospital lead partner. The collaboration comes ahead of the NYU Langone Health HYROX New York 2026 event, which will see the fitness racing series return to Manhattan for an expanded residency.
The 2026 event will take place at Pier 76 on the Hudson River, spanning eight days of competition across two consecutive weekends: Thursday 28 May to Sunday 31 May, and Thursday 4 June to Sunday 7 June.
As the lead partner, NYU Langone Health will have a key presence on-site, providing wellness and recovery resources for competitors. These services will be powered by clinicians from NYU Langone Orthopaedics and the NYU Langone Sports Performance Centre.
A component of the expanded partnership is the introduction of exclusive charity entries. NYU Langone Health will offer participants the opportunity to secure a spot in the often sold-out New York event by committing to raise funds in support of the hospital’s mission to promote health and wellness.
“We’re thrilled to partner with NYU Langone Health ahead of HYROX New York this 2025/26 season,” said Douglas Gremmen, Chief Growth Officer at HYROX.
“This partnership is a great fit, as NYU Langone Health shares our core mission of promoting health and fitness globally, all while creating positive impact through their charitable initiative.”
Joseph D Zuckerman, Chair of the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at NYU Langone Health, added “We’re pleased to bring experts from NYU Langone Orthopedics and our Sports Performance Centre to even more New Yorkers at this great event.”
Named as one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential Companies in 2024, HYROX continues to report rapid growth. The 2025/26 season includes 105 events in more than 30 countries, with a projected reach of over 1.5 million participants.
The New York residency at Pier 76 remains one of the flagship stops on the global circuit, catering to the signature HYROX format of 8 x 1km runs interspersed with eight functional workout stations.
The partnership in NYC aims to align HYROX’s ‘sport for everybody’ philosophy with NYU Langone’s clinical expertise in injury prevention, performance, and whole-person wellness.
