Pinarello rolls out new X Series endurance bike range

Italian bicycle manufacturer Pinarello has unveiled its redesigned X Series endurance road range. Complementing the new flagship DOGMA X, the second-generation X Series is built to maximise rider comfort on everyday road surfaces.

Pinarello adds that the X Series is… ‘Developed for cyclists who value the pure riding experience over chasing seconds on a climb, the lineup sets itself apart from the DOGMA X with its refined geometry, differentiated carbon structure and increased load capabilities.’

The updated range incorporates a redesigned double-arm, four-point top-stay system known as X-STAYS 2.0. The lower attachment points disperse road vibrations more efficiently, while the lower linkage minimizes rebound to deliver a smoother ride.

The X Series is available in three different types of carbon fibre. The top-tier X9 and X7 models utilize the premium Torayca T900 layup to provide a balance of responsiveness, weight and vibration absorption. The X5 and X3 models feature T700 carbon optimised for responsiveness with greater vibration damping capacity. The entry-level X1 is produced from a T600 structure featuring a unidirectional finish focused on compliance.

Complementing the tuned carbon frames is a new adaptive seat post that delivers 10mm of longitudinal flex. The seat post is lighter and more efficient than its predecessor when absorbing vibrations, working alongside the X-STAYS system.

Embracing the practical needs of long-distance cyclists, the range debuts an integrated access port in the down tube housing a custom, compact tool bag. This allows riders to store essentials, inner tubes and nutrition directly inside the frame.

A key technical advancement across the X9, X7, X5 and X3 models is the introduction of an elliptical steering tube, which encompasses fully integrated front cable routing. This design improves torsional stiffness and front-end precision to help with handling on long descents and rough terrain. The X1 maintains the previous-generation X Series frame architecture to retain compatibility with traditional mechanical groupsets.

The range features an expanded tyre clearance up to 40mm, allowing riders to take advantage of tubeless-ready technology for grip and control across varied terrain. The frame is also fully compatible with SRAM’s Universal Derailleur Hanger. The geometry of the range remains unchanged from the previous generation, offering a longer and higher setup than the DOGMA X.

Fausto Pinarello, President at Pinarello, said “The all-new X SERIES represents a significant step forward for Pinarello’s endurance collection. We wanted to focus on what real-world cyclists actually need during long rides on everyday road surfaces—unmatched comfort and vibration absorption without losing any performance.

“By incorporating innovative solutions like the integrated down tube storage, elliptical steering tube and adaptive seat post, the X SERIES is the perfect choice for year-round endurance rides. This is a range that allows cyclists to go further, explore rougher terrain with confidence, and truly enjoy the ride.”
