Indoor cycling platform ROUVY has announced the relaunch of its Companion App 2.0, designed to connect outdoor and indoor activities for its community of riders.
The updated application collates data from all logged rides as well as other cross-training sports, such as running, swimming, and strength training. This functionality aims to provide users with a more comprehensive view of their overall fitness and training progression throughout the year.
To deliver these updates, ROUVY has collaborated with Garmin. Within the ROUVY Companion App 2.0, users can integrate data from compatible Garmin devices, such as the Fenix 8, Forerunner 970, and Edge 1050 cycling computer.
The integration allows the app to display metrics including training load tracking, recovery insights, readiness scoring, consistency monitoring, and long-term progression. Users can also export ROUVY workouts to their outdoor Garmin devices, allowing them to follow structured training plans outside.
Marek-Martin Matyska, VP of Product at ROUVY, said “It’s no secret that ROUVY users often revert to training outdoors during the year when the weather conditions are more favourable, whilst also cross-training across multiple sports and activities. We wanted to provide our users with a consistent training guide, a home for all of their training data in one place, with insights into how they can better understand the overall training effect and current fitness state.
“Our ultimate goal is for ROUVY to become an essential, all-year-round supportive companion that helps our riders reach their goals, and the Companion App 2.0 is the foundational step toward that vision.”
The updated application retains core functionalities from the original version, such as the ability to browse and favourite routes or workouts from the platform’s catalogue on the go. Additionally, the app continues to serve as a remote control during indoor sessions, allowing riders to navigate data screens and manage virtual shifting.
The ROUVY Companion App 2.0 went live on May 19, 2026. While basic activity tracking remains available to users without an active subscription, a paid membership is required to access and execute the platform’s dynamic training plans.
